2AM Alcohol Causes Controversy at Final Candidate Forum....

Mayor Pro Tem Jim Joyner not only made the case against raising drinking hours in Frisco, TX to 2AM, but embarrassed Mayoral Candidate Matt Lafata by demonstrating Lafata really didn't understand the voter referendum Lafata himself was supporting.

More and more, Lafata is proving strong in style but weak in substance.

As Maher Maher, Lafata's opponent pointed out to Lafata'a further embarrassment during closing in statements, In the 6 years Matt Lafata has been on the Frisco City Council, NOT ONCE has he ever testified at a Country, Regional, State, or Federal agency, committee or other governmental entity. NOT ONCE.

Contrast this to Maher Maso's enormous track record of representing Frisco around the State, and Lafata could only hang his head.

Mayor Candidate Maher Maso garners yet another Endorsement

Frisco TX City Council Member David Prince emailed his supports this afternoon to ensure they knew he was endorsing Mayor Maso for Mayor.

Maso has been endorsed by all Frisco City Council Members except one, choosing to remain neutral, and of course his opponent, the controversial Councilman Matt Lafata.

While Maso has been picking up endorsements, Lafata, the subject of a City Ethics Complaint, is having to go on the defensive.

As more information emerges on both candidates, it's becoming clear that this is a race of Substance (Maso) against Style (Lafata). Early voting starts next week in Frisco and the Election will be held on May 10, 2008.

Frisco, TX Mayor's Race: Code of Ethics Violation Complaint Filed Against Candidate Matt Lafata

Mayoral Candidate and Frisco City Council Member Matt Lafata is now the subject of a Frisco Code of Ethics Violation Complaint.

I usually don't pay attention to local races but I've been following this City's Mayoral race on Neaju.com. It shows that local races can be as fascinating as National ones, especially this election cycle with the "choices" we have for President. These are the weakest Presidential candidates I've ever seen....but as long as it's Anyone But Hillary in 2008!
